Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I be mowing?

You should mow frequently enough so that you are only removing 1/3 of the grass blade. If you are mowing at 3 inches, mow the grass when it has grown 4 inches. Keep your mower at 2 1/2 to 3 inches until your last couple of mowings, then you can lower it to 2 inches. Mow your lawn until it stops growing. You should still be mowing in November as needed.

Facts about Watering the lawn…

When watering the lawn, you will want to water about 1 inch a week.

* Water your lawn the day before you or your landscaper plan to mow. This minimizes the browning effect of summer mowing and decreases the time it takes the turf to heal.

I have the presence of skunks, raccoons, or flocks of birds damaging my lawn.

You may have grubs! Please give us a call. We do offer a Grub Curative that is applied to the lawn that will control most of the grubs in the lawn but we do not guarantee to get every grub. We can get it below the damaging level.
